Searching for a Map
MapQuest offers you many different ways to find maps.
  1. By Address
For European countries Address, Street name ,City ,Postcode is supported. MapQuest has detailed, street level coverage in fourteen (14) countries and city level coverage in all other parts of the world.

To map a location, start by selecting a country from the pulldown menu at the top of the Address Search page. When the page is redrawn, simply fill in as much information as you have and click the GET MAP button.

    Tips:
      Intersections or Junctions
To map an intersection or junction use the word "and" or the ampersand ("&") or the word "at". Examples: "First & Broadway" or "Smith Road at Blake St."

      Flat & Apartment Numbers
MapQuest does not recognize flat numbers, unit numbers, or apartment numbers so it is best to omit them when entering addresses.

      Address Ranges
When a building's address is represented as an address range (for example, 24-58 Elm St.), you should select a single address within that range (for example, 24 Elm St.). MapQuest does not accept address ranges.
  2. By Airport
Get a map of any major international airport in Europe and North America by using the Map Form Page.

  3. By Postcode
To map the centre point of European Postcode use the Postcode field of Map Form.

  4. By City
To map cities around the world select a country from the pulldown menu and then enter the city you'd like to map.

  5. By Latitude/Longitude
To map a latitude and longitude coordinate, use the Latitude/Longitude Search page. You can enter latitude/longitude coordinates by degrees, minutes and seconds or by decimal values.

You can change your map one level at a time by clicking on the larger buttons at the top and bottom of the zoom bar, or you can go directly to any zoom level by clicking the appropriate smaller button on the zoom bar. The highlighted button on the zoom bar indicates the zoom level of your current map.

    Map Problems
    1. Map Does Not Appear
MapQuest puts its maps inside tables. Some older browsers have difficulty reading tables. We recommend you update your browser with a newer version. You can download the most recent browsers available for free at http://www.microsoft.com/ or at http://www.netscape.com/.

    2. Printing Problems
Unfortunately, it's hard to pinpoint why some people experience printing problems. To minimise problems, we recommend you use the most up-to-date browser available. You can download the most recent browsers available for free at http://www.microsoft.com/ or at http://www.netscape.com/.

Problems can be caused by older graphics cards that don't have enough memory or by certain combinations of operating system, printer model and browser version. For example, we have identified problems using a combination of Mac computer, some Epson printers and some versions of the Netscape Navigator browser. Try making sure the "Fit to page" option in the page setup dialogue box is deselected (no tick mark). Also, in the print dialogue box, make sure the Mode is set to "Automatic," not "Advanced".
